VISITOR INFORMATION

To allow our patients and their families to participate as much as possible in their own treatment and care, it is Alhambra Hospital Medical Center's policy to allow patients to be visited by family, relatives, and friends based on the following guidelines. The final say on visitation hours and number of visitors will be as determined appropriate by the patient's physician, nursing staff, and hospital policy.

VISITING HOURS
Visiting hours for the hospital (except for ICU/CCU/Subacute) is between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm daily.

Arrangements may be made to visit a patient at times other than indicated by contacting the appropriate nursing supervisor.

VISITING HOURS FOR ICU AND CCU:

Visitors are limited to two at a time only for brief periods. Visitors are not allowed during report times: 7:00 am – 7:30 am and 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm.

VISITING HOURS FOR SUBACUTE:
Visiting hours for Subacute is 24-hours a day 7 days a week. However, after 8:00 pm only family members can visit, and they need to notify the Subacute Nursing Station for arrangements.

WHO MAY VISIT

A patient may have up to two (2) visitors at any time during visiting hours as long as the nursing supervisor and/or staff feel that there is neither danger to the patient's condition nor any interference with patient care. The number of visitors for a patient may be limited by the patient's physician and/or nursing staff due to other concerns; i.e., another patient sharing the same room, time of day, and patient care requirements. Visitors may be requested to leave the patient's room at such times as necessary when privacy for patient care is required.

Ideally, every patient may have any number of visitors during regular visiting hours. However, there are exceptions.

Children under the age of 12 may visit the patient. However, the House Supervisor and staff must be notified in advance. Unless these arrangements have been previously made, children are to stay in the Hospital's main lobby area in the company of a parent or responsible person over the age of 18.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Visitors are requested to be considerate of other patients who may share a patient's room, and to keep the number of visitors at any given time to a reasonable number. Please consult with the nursing supervisor and/or staff to clarify if there are any questions.

VISITOR EATING AREA

Because we are concerned about your health and the cleanliness of our facility, we ask all visitors to refrain from eating outside of the cafeteria.
